As a vascular surgeon, I have spent 17 years in the thick of hospital life—long hours, high stakes, and moments that demand everything we have to give. Anyone in healthcare knows this life well. It is more than a job; it is a commitment to helping people and a calling that is both deeply rewarding and incredibly challenging.

Amid the codes, consults, care plans, procedures, and rounds, it is also important to recognize the humanity behind the scrubs. We need opportunities to laugh, breathe, and celebrate the everyday heroes who make healthcare possible—nurses, physicians, technicians, assistants, residents, students, first responders, and everyone who shows up with purpose and heart.
